🧩 Possessive ’s (Singular & Plural)

We use ’s when the possessor is singular.
On utilise ’s lorsque le possesseur est au singulier.
Marie
’s mother
is going to Hong Kong.
→ La
mère de Marie
va à Hong Kong.

We also use ’s with plural nouns that do not end in -s.
On utilise aussi ’s avec les noms pluriels qui ne se terminent pas par -s.

République populaire

My cousin writes

When a plural noun ends in -s, the apostrophe comes after the s (s’).
Quand un nom pluriel se termine par -s, l’apostrophe se place après le s (s’).
