For positive sentences we can use a/an for singular nouns or some for plurals.
Pour les phrases affirmatives, nous pouvons utiliser « a/an » pour les noms au singulier ou « some » pour les pluriels.

There’s a man at the door.
→ Il y a un homme à la porte.
I have some friends in New York.
→ J’ai quelques amis à New York.
